Youth education

Camp Interactive: A nonprofit organization determined to spread the opportunity for achievement to young people in the underprivileged neighborhoods of American cities. GasPedal provided Camp Interactive with discounted office space, access to our contacts, and general advice. info >

National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship: An international nonprofit organization that introduces low-income and at-risk young people to the world of business and entrepreneurship by teaching them how to develop and operate their own legitimate small businesses. info >

Operation Enterprise: The American Management Association's program is for students ages 16-18, teaching business management and leadership skills. info >

Academia and entrepreneurship

Northwestern University: GasPedal's CEO Andy Sernovitz teaches the world's first graduate course on Word of Mouth Marketing in the Medill School of Journalism.

Wharton School of Business: Andy also taught Wharton's first course on Internet entrepreneurship and served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence.

New York University: GasPedal is a sponsor of NYU's business-plan competitions and speaks at student events. info >

Columbia University: GasPedal advised to the Columbia Organization of Rising Entrepreneurs, the university's starting point for early-stage entrepreneurs looking for business services integral to the startup process. info >

Community service

GasPedal donated computers to Greenwich House, a nonprofit community organization that provides an array of cultural, educational, health, social, medical, and recreational services in and around Greenwich Village.

GasPedal opened our office to Kasina and ContextWeb, Inc., two companies displaced from their own offices as a result of the World Trade Center tragedy. Both companies relocated to GasPedal grounds until their offices were once again available to them.
